He was the second and the last ruler of the Pahlavi dynasty, which ruled Iran from 1925 1979, and was also the last King of Iran, replaced by the present Islamic government. The obverse features an image of Pahlavi (Seventh Portrait), while the reverse features the Koohrang (Kharang) dam, a large water supply project in Iran. These notes went out of circulation
